Fix my mom’s house

March 17
My mom wants to fix her house, and asks some guys to fix it. I helped her monitor the workers when she works in daytime. The room was used to be my brother and mine with a wooden wall to separate into two parts. It is no longer useful since brother and I moved out for years so mom wants to tear the wall and add new floors and painting. Mom had told me the plan many times, and she finally put it into practice. “It would be the last time until I get retired,” mom said.
I walk around in the room. It is much brighter and cleaner, a rebirth. I am glad to join the final construction in this house. It represents to say goodbye to the past and embrace the future. My mom is definitely the witness. The process is also significant to me because I spent my 2/3 life in this space. It was my shuttle, providing the cover from the noise, protecting me regardless of the thrilling movements, and giving little hope whenever I lack confidence and courage.
